Cherine Anderson is one of the great talents to come out of Jamaica with hits like "Say Hey" with Michael Franti&Spearhead, "Coming Over Tonight" with Chuck Fender and her latest single making waves, "Ring The Alarm". She's also an actress with lead roles in "Dancehall Queen" and "One Love" alongside Ky-Mani Marley. She toured with John Mayer this summer and is now back on the island for a while. Noone can deny the grace and talent of this dancehall soul queen. Her voice will give you goosebumps instantly. For her latest shoot she called on 'Yahdie Conscious' to take on the styling duties, giving her a raw,edgy yet simple look to promote the single. She didn't want a lot of makeup or to look "done up", just a real 'yahdie' shoot for a very real song. Listen to the powerful lyrics, Cherine is not only a pretty face but she has the talent and inspirational messages in her songs to make her last for a very long time.

Cherine chilling in between takes...The mesh merino is a staple item of clothing among Jamaican men lol but it tied in perfectly for the overall look we were trying to achieve. The denim shirt is my own and we transformed an old pair of Cherine's jeans into cut off shorts. The sandals were purchased specifically for the shoot.
