The Veronicas' "If You Love Someone" - Song Review

One of the most underrated music acts, The Veronicas, are gearing up for a new era of world domination following a long, seven-year absence. After the the release of the absolutely perfect Hook Me Up, the girls unleashed the snyth-crazy "Lolita" in 2012 and the haunting slow ballad "You Ruin Me" earlier this year, which shot straight to number one in their home country of Australia.

For the second official single off their upcoming self-titled third album, set for a U.S. release in early 2015, The Veronicas are promoting "If You Love Someone", a more uptempo, poppy offering compared to its predecessor. With infectious, radio-ready production, an inspiring message of love and killer vocal performances, the single has a better chance at worldwide crossover potential.

Clocking in at just under the three minutes, the track does not waste any time at becoming quite an enjoyable earworm capable of taking over the charts wherever it is released. "If you love someone, then tell them right now, 'cause your heart won't rest, till you let it out," the sisters adorably sing on the irresistibly catchy pop chorus.

The Veronicas have been gone from the scene for quite some time, conflict with their previous record label ensued, but it seems the music coming out this time around is true to their spirit. "You Ruin Me" was a touching, heartbreaking ballad, but it sounds like the girls found some positive inspiration again for "If You Love Someone", a song that bares some structural similarities to their early pop/rock work. As an official single, it should do wonders for them!

Fast forward to the 1:00 mark to hear The Veronicas' brand new single!
