Joanna Cole fires everyone at Cosmo....and seems like a bit of a bitch.....

I complain a lot about Cosmopolitan. I really didn't wish unemployment on any of the staff there but it seems to be affecting all of them at the moment - rather like a Christmas cold....

I don't know if anyone cared too much when Joanna Coles took over at Cosmo. The reason for this being that the magazine is a bit...well...stale. It's stuck in the glory days of the 90s when it was cool to discuss how you could benefit your boyfriend and not the other way around. Nowadays its all a bit different and we prefer to discuss how we can use our minds to manage more then just the kitchen and the bedroom - we want more. However, Cosmo hasn't really gotten the memo and insist on putting out the sort of shite that tells young women to stay with cheating boyfriends.

So as I said, no one cared that the magazine was about to revamped with the launch of Coles....believe it when I read it right?

Well....she got a little bit antsy and decided to fire everyone. Oh reportedly said this to the last remaining senior staff member :

“Kate [White] told me you’re a rock star. But Kate’s gone, so it doesn’t matter now.”

Which should make the editor worried for her job.

I'm all for a shake up but this seems like the throwing of weight around. I'm torn between thinking this a good way to shake up a business gone stale or  a just a case of diva....hmmm.... I'm sure she's mad worried about what people think of her....
