Viola Davis is taking a little break from network.

The star of TV’s How to Get Away with Murder has signed on to play Harriet Tubman, the Civil War-era abolitionist and prominent Underground Railroad worker, for HBO.

Kirk Ellis, the screenwriter of the premium cabler’s John Adams mini, is handling the script.
