Is Keratin Good for Thin Hair?

Keratin is a very popular hair treatment. First, let us explain about keratin treatment. Keratin is a kind of protein which is naturally present in hair, but due to constant sun exposure and chemical treatments, and excessive heat styling, keratin component which is naturally present in the hair starts to deplete and this is the reason why natural keratin is lost from hair and it loses its shine and life. When natural keratin is lost from your hair, your hair tends to become too frizzy and dry. The main objective of keratin treatment is to bring back shine, bounce and softness to hair that has become unmanageable, extremely dry and frizzy. When you go for keratin treatment, it acts like an extra protectant or shield to your hair. Keratin treatment fills the gap in your hair, making it one of the most desired and sought after hair treatment. It protects your hair and shields it against natural pollutants and other harmful chemicals. This makes your hair much more manageable, shiny and tangle free. Keratin treatment restores protein back into your hair and thus it helps to take care of all your hair worries at the same time.

Keratin Good for Thin Hair

Keratin treatment does not last long. It is not permanent in nature. Keratin treatment is also similar to straightening and rebonding process. Once your hair begins to grow, the effect of keratin treatment won’t be there. Your hair will grow in usual shape and size and back to its original form. Thus, keratin treatment is not permanent at all. Keratin treatment would last for around 2 to 4 months.

Price of Keratin Treatment in India:

Depending upon the length of your hair, keratin hair treatment can cost anywhere between 3000 to 10,000 rupees. The cost also depends on the salon you are visiting and also if the salon is running any offers, you can get further discounts.

Keratin Treatment Side Effects:

Keratin treatment has different effects on different hair types. If keratin treatment is done on thin hair type, then it will make the hair much more sleek and the volume will be almost half of the already thin hair.
Thus, keratin treatment is never recommended for thin hair type. This treatment will reduce volume of your hair and thus hairstylists do not usually recommend keratin treatment for thin hair.
