Pablo Escobar's widow reveals the drug lord raped her at 14

Revealing a heartbreaking secret about Colombian drug lord of the 80s Pablo Escobar, his widow now shares in her new memoir. Victoria Eugenia Henao, 57, has come to terms with a dark reality, her late husband, raped her at the age of 14 when he was 25 years of age.

In her memoir 'My Life and My Jail with Pablo Escobar', to be released on November 15th, 2018, the widow reveals the assault that happened with her when she was dating the drug lord. She also writes how the drug lord led her to a back-alley where she could get an abortion without the understanding that she had been raped and fallen pregnant.

Writing the epilogue of her book, the widow confesses the secret to their two children, Sebastian 41, and Manuela, 34, and mentions how she wanted to take the secret to her grave. 44 years on, Victoria Eugenia Henao knows her revelation will worsen the perception of the man people have known as the world's richest drug lord.

Escobar's widow writes that she was too young to understand what was happening to her, and one day her boyfriend 'hugged' and 'kissed' her, leaving her 'paralyzed' in fear. She did not have sexual malice and did not understand what sexual intimacy meant and did not understand that her boyfriend had raped her.

She continues to write that three weeks later she began to feel strange, and Escobar accompanied her to a woman's house in the desolate and remote area in Medellin, Colombia. An elderly woman told her to lie down and inserted several plastic tubes into her womb for prevention 'Prevention for what?' asked Henao, and the woman replied with certainty that Henao could be pregnant and the tubes will prevent the pregnancy.

Escobar's widow also describes the struggle and intense pain she felt, and the conditions in which she survived an abortion - living with eight siblings and sharing a single bathroom, and sexual acts out of wedlock were considered a taboo in the 70s. Later, at the age of 15, in 1976, Victoria Eugenia Henao married Pablo Escobar, 11 years her senior.

The couple were married for 17 years and the union bore two children, until Pablo Escobar's death on December 2, 1993, in a gun battle by the Colombian National Police in Medellin. Pablo Escobar's success and downfall story has been documented into a hit Netflix series 'Narcos', and the world has come to see the bitter truth and reality of the insanely rich man that once lived richer than any king.
